went to RDA today again!
haha it was our first time out in the ranch
i was feeling really nervous becasuse i had totally no experience with horses
but i was more afraid of how i was going to interact with the kids during their therapy sessions
met alot of other peers arnd our age some older
they were very quite nice though dint get to talk to them much
but it was nice to know they are other pple doing same things like yuo (:
we went there early, but zhi an wasnt there yet
so we walked arnd by ourselves
heh when she came she briefed us on the horses and what we shld and shld not do
i really want to be a leader! then i can grroom the horses and get to know them better
hahah but that shall wait :D
i got to side walk with some francis guy hes damn pro i was so redundant standing next to him
the rider was a lil ang moh boycalled eddie
hahah he had a short attn span so our job was to try to let him focus more on the horse riding
as well as to improve his ability to lsten to instructuions
hahah he was no big prob except that he always zones out and cant sit straight up
so francis the pro started to interact with him while i stood there watching him do the job
learnt some new techniques, like keeping the sterring haha dont know what its called
as well as adjusting the sterring for it to be at the ankle position
dint get to talk much to eddie he was very dao!
and i was frightned :S
hahah but the second session was much better :D
i was assigned to this autistic boy called zachary
hes really cute!
hahahah wanted to pinch his cheeks
haha but he kept crying out loudly
the cindee came t the rescue!
haah she managed to get his attn and calmed him down
wahh it was nerve wreacking
haha damn stress! hahah
for some fun, cindee allowed the horsey to trot
i was sooo soooo freaked out!
cause i scared the horse move too fast then i cant catch up
then if i reach the horse's butt he will kick!
haha that kind of fear was :S haha indescribable
so zach made such a fuss he had to be dismounted or else his condition would manifest
he almost wanted to jump down the horse!
lucky thing cindee and suzi helped him get down safely
so worried for him
after he alighted, he started screaming and i had to grab hold of his hand
suzi held on to him incase he hurt himself while in the fit
i was dumbstrucked, totaly at a lost of what to do
then his mama came then he suddenly became very calm and looked as if nothing happened
hahah it was really an eye opener
some parent of a 19 yr old guy talked to me about how she saw some father with 2 autistic kids
he was so caught up with taking care of his kids he almost went bonkers
then suzi and her started talking about their own kids and how blessed they were
gan chu liang duo!
hahahaha i felt really blessed too
those parents and their love for their kids
those kids and how blessed they were t be doing things they liked
i remb the first time i went i was so frightened of this autistic girl called vannessa
cause i heard they could turn violent when provoked
but i was so wrong!
theiyre really like any of us
kids that get humgry
kids that get bored
kids that want to have fun
kids that want excitement
kids that want their mama and papas by them
hahah very happy i get a chance to join RDA :D
